Paul Allard, the descendant of the builders of this residence, a scholar and historian, the author of “Persécussions Romaines”, and a great admirer of Victor Hugo made this place immortal. Since then, the Manoir de Bray has always belonged to the same family. At each generation of mother and daughter, its peaceful destiny has been continuing. As the manor of a writer, it is very close to Victor Hugo, Guy de Maupassant, André Gide, Leblanc and his Arsene Lupin, those writers who are all from Etretat.
