The town house, a XVIIIth century "hôtel particulier", between a paved courtyard and a fully enclosed english roses garden, is located in the historical upper town of Autun founded by Emperor Augustus. It is an elegant and large old house with many original features: exposed beams, wood burning stone fireplace, tiled floor. Nearby the Natural Park of Morvan and Beaune (best quality wines of Burgundy and "Route des Grands Crus"). Autun is just 75 mn from Paris (Gare Le Creusot-TGV) and the A6 motorway is far from 40 kms. Dijon is far from 80 kms, with a direct connection with Eurostar, via Paris/Roissy Airport, and by air from London Stanstead (1 hour). Secure off-street parking. Pets non allowed. Close to the roman Saint Lazare cathedral, the Rolin Museum, and typicals and gourmet restaurants.
