Les Marronniers is a "maison de maitre" (mansion), built on three levels around 1812 with an enclosed frontyard shaded by chestnut trees, swimming pool set in a lawn surrounded by flowering shrubs and plants. This area of France is wonderful for whoever loves walking, cycling, painting, canoeing, swimming, shopping or enjoying the local culinary delights. Hill villages, chateaux and vineyards highlight the landscape. Near the Camargue, the Ardeche and the Cevennes, not to mention the rest of Provence. Uzes, an ancient Duchy much of which was built in the 15th and 16th century and earlier, teeming sidewalk cafes, restaurants and shops, Saturday Provencal market, one of the most colourful and picturesque part of Europe.
